The Music Workshop:
On the 12th and 13th of March, Darragh and Seamus came to the school to teach us about the music industry and how artists make songs. We started off with jobs that have anything to do with music, like conductors, sound engineers and composers. We then proceeded to pick songs that we wanted to base our own song on. We picked three songs,
1. Chainsmokers - Sick Boy
2. Gavin James - Tired
3. Petit Biscuit - Memories
We then listened to each song and picked out instruments which we could use for our own song. We then split into groups and got a newspaper. Our aim was to underline words which we thought would go nice as lyrics. Our main chorus was 'Bright sparks continue to fly..'
The next day we decided to record it. I started off with Ali doing the verse and chorus. When we went back to class, we then picked the insruments to use. We ended up with piano, bass, guitar, drums etc. At the very end, we finished the instrumentation and never got back to hear the song.
